How to share access to Google Ads

Step-by-Step Instructions to Share Access to Google Ads (Standard Access)

  1. Sign in to Google Ads
    • Go to Google Ads and log in with your account credentials.
  2. Navigate to Account Access
    • In the left-hand menu, click on the Admin icon (the cog icon).
    • Under the sub-section, select Access and security.
  3. Go to the Users Tab
    • You’ll be directed to the Users tab within the Access and security section. Here, you’ll see the list of users who currently have access to the account.
  4. Add New User
    • Click the blue + (plus) button in the top-left of the Users tab to invite a new user.
  5. Enter User’s Email Address
    • A pop-up window will appear. Enter the email address of the person you want to share access with. Make sure it’s a Google account (like Gmail).
  6. Assign the Access Level
    • Choose an expiry option from the Access Expires drop-down.
    • From the drop-down menu labeled Access level, choose Standard.
    • Standard access allows the user to view and make changes to campaigns but prevents access to sensitive account features like user management and billing.
  7. Send Invitation
    • After selecting the access level, click Send invitation.
    • The invited user will receive an email invitation. Once they accept it, they’ll have Standard access to your Google Ads account.
  8. Check Invitation Status
    • You can track the status of the invitation in the Pending invitations section of the Users tab.

Once the user accepts the invitation, they’ll have Standard access to your Google Ads account.
